Chapter 1:
“The Beginning”
In the
world of Pokémon, a young trainer by the name of Ryland has just turned 10
years old. Where Ryland lived that was a big deal, 10 years of age meant he was
allowed to get his first Pokémon; he had the choice of 3 Pokémon from the Local
Pokémon Professor. Professor Juniper was the person who gave the Pokémon to the
trainees.
Ryland
awoke from his sleep excited for what would become of the day; he jumped out of
his bed and got dressed to go to Professor Juniper’s Lab to collect his first Pokémon.
Ryland grabbed his bike and rode as fast as he could to get to the lab, as
Ryland entered the professors lab he noticed 4 Poke balls on the tray… Ryland
was stumped as he thought there were only 3 Pokémon to choose from. Professor
Juniper walked into the lab and looked directly at him “Oh….Hi Ryland it’s
great to see you! We have just received a donation of Pokémon from a young
trainer...
He didn’t
say his name he was just wearing a red cap but anyway, you have the choice of:
1. Tepig
2. Snivy
3. Oshawott.
Ryland
asked “What about that last one?” she replied “Oh that is a Pokémon we caught
to test, it emits an electrical current through its cheeks; it’s really quite
fascinating. But is quite dangerous, are you saying you want to choose this Pokémon”
Ryland responded “Hmm I’m not sure, I think I’ll pick...Snivy”
Ryland went and grabbed Snivy’s Pokéball
and let him out to introduce himself. Ryland said to Snivy with a smile on his
face “We are going to be best buds” Snivy replied “Sniv Sniv!!”(Translation:
Let’s do this) Professor Juniper says to Ryland “Here are your PokéBalls and Pokédex,
have fun” Ryland rushed out of the lab in excitement and went home to show his
mum his new Pokémon.
When Ryland arrived home his
mum’s Eevee who was sleeping on the front doormat greeted him, Ryland picked
her up and entered his house. His mum was in the kitchen cooking, Ryland said
to her “Hi!!! Mum!!!!” his mum replied with a gleaming smile “Hi Hun, who is
that little cutie next to you?” “It’s the new Pokémon the professor gave me!
Ryland exclaimed. Ryland’s mum starts to look sad, Ryland asks her “What’s
wrong mum?” she replies in a sad tone “It’s time…for you to go on your own journey
with your Pokémon, having new experiences meeting new friends and following
your dreams” , she handed him a backpack and he headed towards Striaton city.
Chapter 2
“Ryland’s First Pokémon Encounter”
On his journey to get his first Pokémon
badge and travel to Striaton city, Ryland sees a nearby PokéMart, he decides to
buy some potions for his Snivy but is stopped by a wild Pokémon he had never
seen before, Ryland decided that this would be a perfect time to try out his
new Pokémon, he pulls his Pokédex out of his pocket to find out what kind of
Pokémon he was facing, it replied saying “Blitzle, The Electric Zebra Pokémon,
it gathers where thunderstorms are taking place in order to catch lightning and
store the electricity in their manes. They communicate with each other by
making their manes light up” Ryland grasps the Pokéball that contained his Snivy,
and exclaims “Snivy I choose you! Let’s catch this Blitzle!” Snivy beams out of
its Pokéball and looks ready to fight, “Snivy attack!” said Ryland excitedly,
his Snivy faced him with a confused look on its face and did nothing…
The
wild Blitzle attacked with a jolt of speed, Ryland checked his Pokédex to find
out what attacks Snivy could use, the Pokédex said “Snivy knows the following
moves, Tackle, Vine Whip and Leer” Ryland said with a grin on his face “alright
Blitzle your mine!” the Blitzle attacks with a final quick attack before Ryland
can call anything out, it badly injured Snivy, Ryland clutches Snivy’s Pokéball
and shouts “return” he runs to Accumula town which was were the closest Pokémon
Centre was, it was dark and foggy, he walked inside and asked Nurse Joy to heal
his Pokémon, she replied to Ryland “this Snivy is terribly ill, it will need
rest as soon as possible” Ryland handed nurse joy his Snivy and she took it to
the back of the centre, a few minutes later she came back with Ryland’s Snivy
and said happily
“There
you go your Snivy is as good as ever!”, he grabbed Snivy and was on his way, he
opened the door to exit the centre and was once again at a standstill because
of the wild Blitzle, it was yet again
ready for a battle, Ryland jumped in excitement and ordered Snivy to attack
with Vine Whip, Snivy flew high into the air and attacked, the move hit the
wild Blitzle and sent it Air-born, the wild Pokémon attacked once more with
quick attack, Snivy dodged it and
finished the battle with tackle, Ryland swiftly grasps an empty Pokéball and
attempts to catch Blitzle, he tosses it and calls out “Your Mine”, it enters
the Pokéball and dramatically try’s to escape, it shakes left and right
multiple times and then comes to a halt, The wild Pokémon Blitzle was
Caught!
Ryland happily strolls to the Pokémon Centre
to find somewhere to sleep, he entered the centre and asked nurse joy and she
provided him a room to stay for the night, yet he couldn’t sleep, he was too
excited to try out his new Pokémon, he left his room, and went outside and Sees
a familiar Pokémon, according to his Pokédex it was called Emolga, it was the
little electric type Pokémon from Junipers lab, Ryland grabbed a Pokéball from
his bag and threw it at Emolga to try and catch it when a trainer unexpectedly
knocked the ball away, the unidentified trainer yelled at Ryland in a snobby
and quiet voice saying “That’s my Pokémon don’t touch it” the trainer demanded a
battle and says that Ryland’s Pokémon are weak, as well as Ryland himself being
stupid for trying to catch the trainers Pokémon.
Chapter 3
“A new Rival”
The mysterious trainer sent out his Emolga and
shouted “What pathetic Pokémon are you going to choose…hmph” Ryland responded
“I’m gonna choose Blitzle…” Both Pokémon beam out of their PokéBalls and they
begin to battle. The mysterious trainer shouted “Emolga use Thundershock”,
Ryland told Blitzle to dodge it, Blitzle then attacked Emolga head on with a
Quick Attack, Emolga used shockwave as Blitzle attacked and caused Blitzle to
be sent back, the mysterious trainer said “Ha...you’re weak...just as a
thought” Ryland gets excited and exclaimed “Ok then… Blitzle returnand go Snivy, the trainer
responded “hmph...I’m gonna end this. Emolga use Spark” Emolga charges up take
down Snivy in one hit. Ryland runs to Snivy’s aid and the mysterious trainer
boastingly says “Ha...you still have a long time till you can beat me, hmph”
Ryland responds in a sad tone “Who? Who are you?” the mysterious trainer turned
and walked away saying “My name is Jaden...not like it matters...let’s go
Emolga”. Unbeknownst to Ryland is that Jaden would be his Rival forever, Ryland
told himself in excitement “I’m going to beat you Jaden and you’re not going to
forget it”.
Ryland heads back inside the Pokémon
Centre to heal his Pokémon and meets a young girl carrying a ill
Lillipup and Ryland asks “What is wrong?” she responds in a sad tone
“My...Lillipup has a...strong fever” She quickly runs up to the desk and places
her Lillipup on it and Nurse Joy exclaims in shock “Oh my goodness...what has
happened” Nurse joy quickly puts Lillipup on a bed and takes her to the back,
the girl yells out “WHERE
ARE YOU TAKING HER?!” Nurse Joy says in a calm voice “Don’t worry we will get
her better”. Ryland goes up to the girl and tells her “Don’t worry everything
will be fine” she says back “Thank you...by the way my name is Mei, hey this
journey is quite hard on your own...could I please join you”, Ryland thought
about it and replied to Mei “Hmm, yeah it would be great to travel with
someone” Ryland and Mei waited for the Lillipup to come back, Nurse Joy came
out of the back explaining that her Lillipup will be fine and only needs rest,
just let her sleep inside her Pokéball for about 2 days” Mei responds
“Ahh…thank you, Lillipup return” Lillipup beams back into her Pokéball.
Ryland and Mei leave the Pokémon Centre for Striaton City so Ryland can get his first Badge. Both are happy that they both have a travel buddy and tune in to the next instalment of Pokémon: A New Journey part 2
